Associate Professor, Leonardo Mota is a member of the Gases Research Group/Laboratory of Physical Sciences at Darcy Ribeiro Northern Fluminense State University, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Research Interests

One of the main and continuously sustained activities of our research group has been devoted to the development, characterization and application of photoacoustic trace gas sensing devices. Currently, I have focused my efforts on trying to understand how inert molecules percolate papaya fruit layers during ripening as well as on the detection of breathing gases as human biomarkers.
